During the last migraine I had, I performed the usual routine : took the medicine, covered my ears and eyes and prayed for it to go away. In between the whispered prayers, I gained the attention of my husband and asked for an ice pack.
"Umm, we don't have any."
"We always have ice packs, where did they all go?"
"They're in the car."
"Why? "
" I used them last time I went fishing and forgot to bring them in."
"Crap".
"Wait! I 've got some frozen crab bait!". ( translation: chicken necks too foul for any other use)
So, husband wraps the "ice pack" in a towel and I place it on my head. The dogs are curiously attentive to me. I'd like to tell you that they were simply being sympathetic- but that would be a lie.

Oh ... I hope that your migraine has gone away!! Have you ever tried taking the ice pack and putting it at the back of your neck? It sometimes works for me.
Feel better!
Small Footprints
I'm down to one migraine a month these days. I empathize! Luckily for me I can still treat it with OTC drugs most of the time.
Nope, no frozen veggies... just fresh baby spinach in the fridge.
I use the ice pack on my neck and icy hot on my temples...
If I catch it in time I can sometimes get by with OTC and my doctor is reluctant to give me the good stuff. I told I have had almost 48 years to become an addict and have not done so yet.
MY Mom always took a BC powder and coke (the cola that is) Went to her room and dared any of the kids to make a sound.hahaha.The ice pack is no worse then using your sandwich meat for the bait.
